Updated web version!
Since the jam's judging period has been extended, we've decided to make a separate page with a web version of the game that's been heavily updated: https://faulko.itch.io/moonshadow-web
BUG FIXES AND UPDATES:
- The pause menu has a list of some of the controls and also lists the 2 collectibles;
- Visual feedback has been added to various interactables in the house; the one for skipping a cutscene doesn't stay on screen from the get go and can be accessed by pressing "Z" or "X" during a cutscene;
- The keypad has a "BACK" button to allow the player to exit the keypad screen; the password has been corrected to match the puzzle's description; the keypad now has hints related to the puzzle and its password and, finally, it now has sound effects;
- The book's image has been changed;
- When dying at the house, the game over screen lets you continue;
- The banging door in the painting room can no longer be clipped through;
- "X" button is now used for skimming through dialogue and skipping cutscenes, and the stairs can now be interacted with "W";
- Player's collider is now deactivated during scene transitions to prevent offscreen deaths from unseen edge-of-the-screen enemies;
- The enemies spawn, damage and death processes have been changed;
- The player's walk animation and sound effects have been updated; the flashlight's light has a slightly newer sprite; the arm now disappears during the death animation, which also has a sound effect now;
- Ambiance music from stages do not bleed into the cutscenes anymore and is also correctly reset after a game over;
- THE ENEMY IN THE STAIRS ROOM HAS BEEN OBLITERATED.
